It seems to follow from the above
that the annual auditu̸laccounts will have to be sent to the Treasury for information, probably with some covering letter explaining any large diversions from the estimates.
If the above position is
accepted, it might be of help to all concerned if a statement of the position, as set out above, with such amendments as may be decided upon, were drawn up and a copy sent to all concerned for guidance.
The Foreign Office claim for
£250,000, which gave rise to this subject has been re- registered on 55083/43 for action which can now be considered in the light of the arran gements agreed upon in this file.
Crown Agents will presumably
inform us when their Hong Kong account is in need of Funds and we can then apply to our Accounts Department for issue of an advance from U.K. Funds within the amount of the years advance approved by Treasury when we submit the Hong Kong "estimates"
